Kiwis are members of the bird family and they cannot fly. The kiwi cannot fly because it’s wings are too small to lifts its body into the air. It has no tail. It has loose hair.
They inhabit underneath hollow trees where they lay the eggs in nest. Kiwis are often out at night time. Kiwis are similar to other birds that can fly. They are similar in the way that they have a beak and wings. They eat insects and grubs like other bids do.
The kiwis have muscular strong legs. They use these legs to walk and to fight. They don’t fly so their legs get all the exercise. They use their beaks to get their food by sniffing and digging with them. Their nostril is in their beak.
Kiwis are protected by people because they struggle to live. They have lots of predators like ferrets, possums, cats and dogs. They are often born in places that are surrounded by special fences to protect them before they are put in the bush.
Kiwis are strong birds but need our help to survive.
When rugby tackle training is on my team and the coach do tackle ball rush to warm up. Then we start to do burpees , push ups ,star jumps and pull ups which I'm not good at it I try my best at them. When the coach puts the cones out in a diamond around the field. The team has a race against each other and then we have to buddy up and try hold each other like a baby. I like to finish of with a game that is called ball tag. I like winning.
